As the year comes to an end, now is the time to look back and reflect on the past 12 months. Here are some key highlights of Diesel Direct’s 2020:
Global Pandemic
It has been an unprecedented year that sometimes was met with unforeseen challenges. We are very proud that Diesel Direct was able to ensure the safety of our employees, customers, and visitors, by following processes and guidelines that were set forth by our governing bodies, our Business Continuity plans and our internal Safety Team.
As an essential business, we remained available 24/7 to assist with any fueling needs. That means that in times of emergencies, people could continue to count on Diesel Direct to be there. Our real-time cloud-based technology, both on our trucks and in our back office, ensured that business could continue be conducted, whether in our offices or in home offices for those who needed to be quarantined You could still get your fuel, when and where you need it, and all transactions were and still are securely available on our Fuel Intelligence Customer Experience Portal, accessible from anywhere.
As a company, we were able to adapt to the nature of this year and were able to provide accommodations for our at-risk personnel by offering work flexibility. There are always open communications within our teams and offices on how we must follow the CDC’s guidelines to remain open. We had zero layoffs that were related to the coronavirus pandemic, as a matter of fact, we were even able to welcome new team members.
Growth
This year we expanded our operations to a new facility in Providence, Rhode Island which will enable the addition of more resources to support the strong and growing customer base in RI, and Southern MA. We continued to grow our Certified Partner Network, and was proud to enroll many new fuel delivery vendors into our family during the year. Our geographical reach has ever been wider, and thanks to our certified partners, we continue to ensure an honest gallon, quick turnaround of invoices and an industry leading portal for fuel management.
As we continue to grow, we are always seeking the best, most capable people to join our team which is why Diesel Direct is committed to hiring military.
Giving Back
We recognize that we are in a fortunate position and want to continue to make a social impact on our community at large. With the collective efforts of all our employees, this year we have contributed to a number of community efforts, among those are:
- Funded new jerseys for the Dennis Yarmouth Youth football organizations.
- Became a National Donor for the Marine’s Toys for Tots organization.
- Donated to the Jimmy Fund, and various other charities.
- Held both a toy drive, as well as a food drive for our local Toys for Tots and the Greater Boston Food bank.
Gratitude
Diesel Direct is very grateful to our customers for entrusting us to provide them with the sense of security that we can deliver reliable fuel services 24/7, 365 days a year. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank each of our employees for their hard work, commitment and invaluable contributions to this company. Despite the challenges that this year has brought, it was with the help of our team that allowed our business to reach its full potential.
