As we start this storm season, you should know that power outages are becoming more frequent. Research from Climate Central reported that since 2003, the average number of weather related power outages has doubled. This means that now more than ever you need to make sure your business is ready!
We can’t control the storms, but we can prepare for them. Many of our customers have already prepared with generators. Many more are in the process of doing so.
But simply having a generator is not enough. It must be tested and maintained. Unfortunately, fuel maintenance is often overlooked.
Why? Most of us don’t understand what makes the fuel fail:
- Stagnation
- Destablization
- Water
- Microbial Growth
The other major issue? No fuel and no commitments to get fuel when you need it.
So what can you do to make sure your generator fuel is ready to perform and solve these issues?
